Guest privacy notice

How your data is handled when you open an invitation made with Wanrak.

You are reading this because you were invited to an event whose site is made with Wanrak.

Who is responsible

The host of the event (the couple, the family, the planner or the company that invited you) decides what is collected about you and why. The host is the controller of your data. Wanrak provides the site for the host and processes your data only on the host's behalf and instructions, under a data processing agreement. The site names the host when you first open it. For any question about your data, contact the host first.

What is collected

  • What the host added: your name, your household, whether you are a child (for children: a name and an age band only), and contact details if the host added them to send your invitation.
  • What you send: your replies, answers to the host's questions, meal and access needs, messages and voice messages in the guestbook, song requests and game answers.
  • Photos you take or upload with the event's camera.
  • On the day: when you checked in and where you are seated. The host may also add private notes for the wedding party to greet you.
  • Technical data: the cookies needed to keep you signed in to this event and remember your language, and limited security records.

Why it is used

To run the event: your invitation, replies, seating, check-in, the photo gallery, the guestbook and the tools on the day. The host's legal basis is usually their legitimate interest in organizing the event or your request to take part. Where the host relies on your consent (shown when you first open the site), you can withdraw it at any time. Wanrak also uses limited data to keep the service secure and to answer abuse reports.

Sensitive information

  • Meal and access needs can reveal your religion or health. Share them only if you want to; they are used only to plan the event and are seen by the host and their team (and the caterer, if the host shares them).
  • Singles: some events offer a singles feature. It is off unless the host turns it on, and you take part only if you join it yourself and confirm you are 18 or older; joining is your explicit consent to the profile you create, which may reveal who you would like to meet. Children and walk-in guests can never join. Your contact is shared only after a mutual match, you can block and report at any time, and singles data is deleted after the event. It never appears on the venue screen or in exports.
  • Face search is not offered today. If it ever is, it will need your own separate opt-in.

Who can see it

  • The host and the team they invite. Gift notes and amounts are seen only by the couple.
  • The wedding party, if the host uses it: names, tables and check-in state only, never contact details.
  • Other guests: photos and messages the host approves for the gallery or the venue screen, your name as shown in game results, and nothing else about you.
  • Wanrak's service providers, under contract (listed in our privacy policy), and authorities where the law requires it.

Your data is never sold or used for advertising.

Photos

Photos may be checked automatically and held until the host reviews them. Photos the host approves can be seen by other guests in the gallery and on the screen at the venue, and the host may download them. Please take photos of others, especially children, with care. You can report any photo, and ask the host to remove a photo of you.

Children

Children do not use this site on their own. A parent or another adult of the household replies for them, and the host lists them with their name only. Children can never join singles.

Cookies

Event sites use essential cookies only: one keeps you signed in to this event's site from your invitation link, and one remembers your language. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, and no cookie banner, on event sites. See the cookie policy.

Where it is stored

Data is stored in Singapore, and some service providers work in other countries, under the safeguards the law requires (see the privacy policy).

How long it is kept

The host decides, within the limits of their plan. Singles data is deleted after the event. When the host deletes the event, it can be restored for 30 days and is then deleted for good, files included.

Your rights

You may have the right to see, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, to object to some uses and to withdraw consent. On the event site's Privacy page you can ask for your data to be deleted and delete your singles profile. The host answers requests; they can erase your replies, photos and messages and export a copy of your data. If you cannot reach the host, use our contact page and we will pass your request on. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
