Create an event

Set up a new event with the wizard in about two minutes.

The create-event wizard sets up a new event from a few answers. Nothing is public until you publish, and you can change every answer later.

Start the wizard

  1. Sign in to the studio and open Events.
  2. Choose Create event (on your first visit: Create your first event). If you belong to more than one workspace, the event goes into the workspace you have selected.

Answer a few questions

  1. Type: wedding, engagement, birthday, corporate, party or something else. The type sets up the right parts of the day, for example a ceremony and a reception for a wedding.
  2. Your role: for a wedding or an engagement, "We're the couple" or "I'm the planner"; for any other event, "I'm the host" or "I'm the planner". A planner can invite the couple or the host by email, and stays on the event as their planner.
  3. Basics: the names, the date, the time zone and the guests' first language. Thai names are optional. If the date is not decided yet, choose "Date not decided yet".
  4. Venue: the main venue's name and address, or skip it for now.
  5. Guests: about how many guests you expect. You can skip this too.
  6. Look: pick a template. Each one shows a live preview.
  7. Review: check your answers and create the event.

What happens next

You land in the studio with your answers filled in and sample text everywhere else. The event's Overview has a publish checklist that lists what is left, such as sample text to replace and guests to add.

Drafts stay private. Guests can open the site only after you publish it.

Next: Design your site.
