Guest data and privacy

What guests agree to, what the event keeps about them, and how to handle a data request.

You decide whose data your event holds. Under privacy laws such as Thailand's PDPA, you (the host) control your guests' data, and Wanrak keeps it for you. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to collect it, telling guests how it is used and answering their requests. This help center explains how Wanrak works; it is not legal advice. The guest privacy notice explains this to guests.

What guests agree to

The first time a guest opens the site, a short note asks them to agree before anything else. You write the note in Settings, under Dress code, thank-you and consent, in English and Thai. Walk-in guests see the same note on the join form.

What the event keeps

  • What you add: names, households, sides, groups, contact details and notes.
  • What guests add: replies and answers, photos, wishes, voice messages and selfies, song requests, game answers, gift notes, and a singles profile if they make one.
  • What happens on the day: check-ins and seats.

Guests never see each other's contact details. The wedding party sees names, tables and check-in state, never contact details.

A guest asks to delete their data

  1. The guest opens Privacy and my data in the site's menu and chooses Request deletion.
  2. The request appears on Data deletion requests in the studio, under Settings.
  3. A host, co-host or planner chooses Delete their data, or Keep the data (request made by mistake).

Deleting removes their photos, wishes, voice messages, replies, seat and everything else linked to them, for good. Answer each request promptly: privacy laws set deadlines, for example 30 days under Thailand's PDPA and one month under the GDPR.

Export or remove one person

Open the household in Guests. For each person:

  • Export data downloads a copy of their data as a file.
  • Remove person deletes them and their data for good. Export first if they asked for a copy.

If the platform is keeping someone's data for a safety review, removing waits, and the studio says so.

How long data is kept

  • Settings, under Data retention: how long singles data stays after the last part of the day (30 days unless you change it), and how long guests can open the gallery (12 months, never longer than your plan).
  • When the gallery closes, guests can no longer open it. Every photo stays in the studio and on Exports.

Delete the event

The event's host deletes it on Data deletion requests, under Delete this event, by typing the event's address to confirm. The site goes offline at once. It can be restored from Recently deleted on your events page for 30 days, then it is deleted for good, with every guest, photo and file.

Your own data

Download my data on your account gives you a copy of your own account data, not your guests'. See Account and two-step sign-in.
