Custom domains
Show your guest site at a web address you own.
Every guest site has its own address on Wanrak. With a custom domain, guests can also open it at an address you own, such as invite.example.com. A custom domain comes with the custom domain add-on and with Agency workspaces. Hosts, co-hosts and planners can set it up.
Connect a domain
- Open Domain and branding in the event, under Settings.
- Under Custom domain, type your domain and choose Connect domain.
- At the company where you manage the domain, add each of the DNS records exactly as shown. Some companies want only the first part of the name.
- We keep checking on our own. DNS changes can take up to 48 hours. Check again checks now.
The status shows Waiting for DNS, then Connected. The secure certificate (HTTPS) is issued on its own once the domain is connected.
Keep it working
Leave every record in place, including the one that proves the domain is yours. If we can no longer confirm the domain, the status shows Not connected: check the records. Your address on Wanrak keeps working in the meantime, so guests can still reach the site.
If the page says custom domains are not configured on this server yet, none can be connected for now.
Remove a domain
Choose Remove domain and confirm. Your site stays at its Wanrak address. To connect the domain again later, you add new DNS records.
White-label and custom CSS
With an Agency workspace, the same page offers:
- White-label: your workspace logo instead of our name on the workspace's guest sites and their emails. "Report this site" and the guest privacy notice always stay.
- Custom CSS: fine-tune colors, fonts, spacing, borders and shadows of this guest site. The footer and the privacy sheet cannot be styled.
